How to verify the ClashX installer has not been tampered with (signature/checksum)
Method 1: Verify the Digital Signature (Recommended)
After the download completes, right-click the .dmg file in Finder and select "Get Info." Then check the "Signature" field:
β Signer: Developer ID Application: Charles Snow
β Notarized: Apple Notary Service
If the signature details do not match or it says "Unsigned," do not open the file and download it again from the official source.
Method 2: Verify the SHA256 Checksum
Run the following command in Terminal to calculate the SHA256 value of the downloaded file:
shasum -a 256 ~/Downloads/ClashX.dmg
Compare the result with the official SHA256 value published on the GitHub Release page. If they match exactly, the file has not been modified.
