Getting a security warning on first launch? That's normal!

Since ClashX is not Apple-signed, macOS will show a "cannot verify developer" warning on first launch. This is standard behavior for all unsigned open-source macOS apps โ€” the software is perfectly safe. ClashX is fully open source on GitHub, and anyone can audit the code.

Simply go to System Settings โ†’ Privacy & Security and click "Open Anyway". For detailed visual steps:

How to Verify the ClashX Installer Has Not Been Tampered With (Checksum)

SHA256 Checksum Verification

Run the following command in Terminal to calculate the SHA256 value of the downloaded file:

shasum -a 256 ~/Downloads/ClashX.dmg

Compare the result with the official SHA256 value published on the GitHub Release page. If they match exactly, the file has not been modified.
